Technical Piece

I took heartless down to see the pond
And we stood and smiled and observed that the pond was probably not
Technically a pond
And we laughed
And we had sexual intercourse
Then heartless paraded some art
Bandied some high art around
And it was wonderful
Although it wasn’t technically wonderful
And we had verbal sex of sorts
And strutted around town like the naked truth

Sometimes it burns
This happenstance
This happenstance

I held heartless to my empty chest
There were queries regarding the depth of our love
But they passed
And we were unlimited by things that were technically infinite
Though technically they could not have been infinite
So we engaged in perpetual discourse
About my gigantic head
And then heartless fell to pieces like something made of parts
And lay akimbo by my side
And we rolled on the ground like the naked truth

Sometimes it burns
This happenstance
This happenstance
