You Are The Greatest Artist

You’ve abandoned me
In the wake of my elaborate meltdown
Like I hoped you would
With candor, you’ve demanded more
It’s uprooting but I have no roots
I am awake to your chicanery
You are the greatest cabaret artist in the world
And you have stranded me
On many islands of myself
Just where I hoped I would land
Splendor aside, the rewards are poor
And it’s upsetting but I have no setting
I am alert to your complex jiggery
You are the greatest unknown artist of your time
