Moment Of Inertia

A hurricane is blowing through town today.
I have been mesmerized all day long,
Periodically staring out at the circling overhead.
I see things in the clouds.
I see hungry vultures,
Chickens with their incessant squawking.
The humans in the buildings bounce up and down.
People are hyperventilating on the fresh cool air.

There is a huge sunspot eruption belching gas and particles at us,
They say the aurora borealis is coming to eat the world.
I feel like getting in a car and driving north forever.

On second thought, I am just going to wait.
Can’t drive a car anyway.
I will spend my time blinking and exuding body fluids.

Maybe I can be a miracle.
